MCFly 57 (published Sunday 26 September) reported that Gayle O’Donovan would be standing for the Green Party in the Hulme by-election forced by the resignation of sitting councillor Emily Lomax. This website two days ago reported that Ms O’Donovan had stepped down and that the Greens would now be fielding David Henry as a candidate. We can now report that Mr Henry has had to step down (he is not eligible). The Greens will be announcing a new candidate on Friday. And possibly a new one on the Monday after that, who knows?
